Bill Cosby & The Right to Bear Arms

Is Cosby wrong again?  As Bill Cosby makes the news circuit he’s pointing out an interesting idea; would Trayvon be alive and well if Zimmerman was carrying a knife or maybe a big stick?  Cosby’s thinking is in agreement with many others who refuse to accept that hatred kills; guns are machines.  Zimmerman’s intent was to kill; his profiling is evidence.  The fact: Zimmerman’s body is a carrier of hatred; a conceiver of murder that’s created by correlating false ideas, characteristics, and configurations, following centuries of hatred, toward African-Americans.  Until modern days, most hate killings, beating, and capital murders  were done by mobs.

The Second Amendment (Amendment II) to the United States Constitution is the part of the United States Bill of Rights that protects the right of the people to keep and bear arms. It was adopted on December 15, 1791, along with the rest of the Bill of Rights.

In no particular order, early American settlers viewed the right to arms and/or the right to bear arms and/or state militias as important for one or more of these purposes:

  • deterring tyrannical government;
  • repelling invasion;
  • suppressing insurrection;
  • facilitating a natural right of self-defense;
  • participating in law enforcement;
  • enabling the people to organize a militia system.

Are you willing to surrender any constitutional rights?
